All Polytechnic alumni are encouraged to sign up to become a mentor. There are two ways that Poly alumni can serve as mentors to students. The Connections program provides a more structured, limited timeframe approach where students are thoughtfully matched with alumni by program administrators, and both mentor and mentee are expected to meet and participate in the program around certain guidelines.
For alumni who would still like to help and connect with students, but cannot meet the time requirements of Connections, The NYU Wasserman Center for Career Development Mentor Network serves as a more informal networking program where students select their own mentors based on their specific areas of interest.
To participate in the Connections program...
Alumni should complete the registration form. Once you are paired with a student mentee, you will receive an email that will include the student mentee’s contact information, personal statement, and resume as well as information about the Connections Kick-off event.
