Hometown girl Sonia Ganess (sophomore) is quite familiar with the allure of New York City and the opportunities available at NYU-Poly. As a Business and Technology Management major in New York, Sonia is at the epicenter of her industry and has an unparalleled professional advantage.
Sonia’s day fits the mold of a typical on-the-go New Yorker—she is involved in a variety of clubs and loves to venture out into the City. After her morning classes and a meeting with one of her organizations on campus, Sonia likes to do yoga, play tennis, work out or occasionally go for a run on the Brooklyn Bridge with friends.

During her busy day, Sonia also finds time to visit the Department of Technology Management to speak to counselors about finding an internship. “I want to work as a consultant at a financial firm in Manhattan,” says Sonia. “New York is the ideal location to succeed in finance and I want to take advantage of my surroundings.”
