International Channel, Time Warner of New York City and Polytechnic Institute of NYU Join Forces to Offer $200,000 in Annual Support
CENTENNIAL, CO -- International Channel Networks (ICN), the cable and broadband industry's leading multicultural content provider, Time Warner Cable of New York City, and Polytechnic Institute of NYU announced today that they have established a two-year scholarship program dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for multicultural students.
Polytechnic Institute of NYU will provide $200,000 in academic scholarships per year for two years, beginning with the 2003 - 2004 academic year. International Channel Networks and Time Warner Cable of New York City will provide the promotional support. Commercials will air nationally on International Channel and on other channels that are part of Time Warner Cable's service in the New York area.
"All three companies involved in this effort are dedicated to supporting education efforts in the U.S. and to deepening the relationships and understanding among people with different backgrounds," said Kent Rice, President of International Channel Networks. "Especially during these challenging times across the world, reaching out and helping to broaden people's perspectives across different cultures is critical."
The consortium will award 20 scholarships per year at $10,000 each, and students can be either a permanent resident, citizen or an international student. Click here to the International Channel Networks Scholarship Inquiry Form.
