ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards of up to $5,000* are given to qualified students. African American, Hispanic, or American Indian high school seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply.
This program is designed specifically for current lodging employees and their dependents. Applicants must complete all sections of the AH&LEF Scholarship Application. AH&LEF academic scholarship applications are only accepted from January 1 to May 1 each year. The AGC Education and Research Foundation (AGCERF) is happy to invest in the future of the construction industry by awarding scholarships to deserving students in construction management and engineering programs across the country. In 2012, 111 scholarships were awarded through the generosity of our donor-supported funds. The scholarships for undergraduates are $2,500 per year and can be renewed for up to three years.

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program, funded by the GM Foundation, is designed to help students who are leaders in both the classroom and their communities, but who may not have the financial means to attend college. The scholarship program will award 100 renewable scholarships for up to $25,000 per year and 1,000 non-renewable scholarships for $2,000 per year.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
1. Seniors in high schools throughout the United States who meet the eligibility requirements may apply each year for one of 250 four-year, achievement-based scholarships.
2. Approximately 2,200 applicants will be selected as Semifinalists and notified by mail and email around December 1. Semifinalists must then complete a secondary application, including essays, official transcripts, and two letters of recommendation. Semifinalist applications are due by mid-January. Our Program Review Committee will select 250 Finalists to advance to the final interview phase. Notifications are sent mid-February.
3. In April, the 250 Finalists are invited to Atlanta for personal interviews. The Finalists are interviewed by a National Selection Committee representing outstanding leaders in business, government, education and the arts. 50 students are then designated as National Scholars and receive awards of $20,000 for college; 200 students are designated as Regional Scholars and receive awards of $10,000 for college.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The Leaders and Achievers Scholarships are one-time awards in the amount of $1,000 for use towards college costs and expenses. Scholarship awards are nonrenewable and are not based on financial need. To be eligible to apply for and receive a scholarship, a student must be a full-time high school senior at the time of application; must demonstrate a strong commitment to community service; must display leadership abilities in school activities or through work experience; must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher at the time of application; and must attend a high school in a community served by Comcast. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, disability or national origin.
Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada.

This scholarship is open to members (and their children) of IAPMO, PHCC, MCAA, the UA and ASSE who are currently enrolled in high school, community college, trade school, four-year accredited college or university or trade school, or working in an apprentice program.
Applicants must be participating in a high school or community college InVEST class and pursuing higher education with an emphasis on insurance, risk management, actuarial science or business.

Rhio O'Connor was diagnosed with a deadly cancer (mesothelioma) and given a year to live. Instead of giving up he found his own path to health and outlived his prognosis by more than six years. Each year, 10–20 high school graduating seniors across New York City become part of the Thomas G. Labrecque Smart Start Scholarship Program. The Lightspeed Technologies Scholarship is available to students who are student members of SkillsUSA. Applicants must demonstrate skill in robotics and automation technology, sheet metal or welding to qualify for this award.
Colleges and universities, as well as educational authorities and government officials, realize that professional training for medical, engineering and high tech work depends on a good education in math and science. Various institutions, organizations, companies and agencies offer scholarships for students who plan to study math or science-related subjects in the hope of bringing more talented young people into these professions.

The child of a pensioner or deceased employee will be considered eligible if the pensioner or deceased employee had met the requirements for an active employee at the time he died or retired.
During his thirty years of service to the construction industry of New York State, Paul Richards, former Managing Director of the General Building Contractors of NYS (formally the NYS Building Division of the AGC NYS), earned the respect of all with whom he worked by his dedication to the AGC ideals of Skill, Integrity and Responsibility. In memory and appreciation for Paul's excellent service and leadership and for his strong commitment to education, the Paul B. Richards Memorial Scholarship was endowed in 1987 by the Membership of the GBC. Each year, $2000 scholarships in Paul's name are presented to deserving young men and women pursuing undergraduate degrees in construction-related fields who show a real interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry. Applications are accepted each fall, and a committee rates each student based on career major, high school and first year college grades, work experience and personal references. When applying for a Paul B. Richards Scholarship you are also eligible for over 120 additional scholarships offered through the AGC Education and Research Foundation. Applications are available for download beginning in late summer. The Application Deadline is November 1 of each year and is payable the following Fall. Scholarships will be a maximum of $2,000 per student per year and will be renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study in civil engineering or construction management or technology.

The PG&E Bright Minds Scholarship Program, sponsored by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, is open to students living a PG&E service area. Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll in full time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four year college, university or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Nontraditional students who are returning to school to finish their degree or planning on attending for the first time are encouraged to apply. PSEG is offering a scholarship to graduating high school seniors who are residents of New Jersey and interested in pursuing a degree in engineering.

Open to sons, daughters, stepchildren and grandchildren of regular, reserve, retired or deceased officers or enlisted members who have served or who are now serving, or who have served, but have since been honorably discharged with the Naval Construction Force (Seabees) or Navy Civil Engineer Corps. Scholarships are for four-year bachelor’s degrees and are not available for part-time graduate study or great grand children.

Verbal Ink Transcription Services, one of the country’s most trusted language services providers, is pleased to announce the launch of its new scholarship program. Each spring, Verbal Ink will award a $1500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior or current college freshman. The scholarship will be renewable each year for up to four years, provided that the award recipient maintains a 3.0 GPA or equivalent, and completes the minimum number of credit hours required to be a full-time student each academic year.To be considered for this scholarship, the student must have a cumulative GPA above 3.0, must either be graduating high school or completing his or her first year of college in the spring, and must be enrolled in an accredited two or four year institution of higher learning for the following fall quarter/semester.
