Clickers

The Student Response System, commonly known as “clickers,” is a classroom technology that provides professors with instant feedback on student responses to in-class questions and quizzes.

Clicker technology has proven to be a valuable tool for both teaching and learning, and helps

• Promote active learning
• Engage students in the lesson
• Provide feedback to the instructor
• Provide feedback to the students
• Boost in-class confidence and participation

The Turning Technologies internship program provides FITL with one intern every semester to support faculty, staff and students on the use of clicker technology. In addition, the intern position is involved in research projects, finding innovative ways to use this technology for teaching and learning and keeping the Center up to date on what universities around the country are doing with clickers.
