The evolving global business environment requires leaders capable of managing the latest advances in technology. Inventions — whether they come from the health care, high-tech, or other sectors — must be nurtured and carefully guided to the marketplace.
Whether you are a recent college graduate or in the early, middle, or advanced stages of your career, NYU-Poly’s Management of Technology (eMOT) Executive Master's Program (formerly the Accelerated Management of Technology MS program) prepares you to take part in this process of invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship — what we like to call i2e. We offer an intensive but flexible, part-time curriculum that bridges the gap between technology and business. Courses take place in the evening, which means there’s minimal disruption to your busy daytime routine. And the program can be completed in an accelerated, full-time, or part-time format in anywhere from 10 to 44 months.
For forward-thinking managers, the eMOT program is a proven and unique path to leadership in the Twenty-First Century. One of the first accredited universities to offer an advanced degree in eMOT, NYU-Poly is a recognized leader in the field, and has offered the eMOT program for almost 2 decades. Rather than grafting a few courses onto a traditional MBA program, the eMOT program possesses a thoroughly innovative integrated curriculum.
The program’s flexibility and curriculum make it well-suited for engineers and scientists with increasing managerial responsibility, as well as professionals, functional and business managers, and entrepreneurs in financial services, IT, security, design, retailing, media/entertainment and other increasingly technological environments.
The program also welcomes you into a community of learners that includes faculty, strategic partners, industry leaders, and business networks around the world. The Institute for Technology and Enterprise (ITE) — New York’s premiere research and educational hub for management and innovation — is one of our major partners. It hosts round-tables and workshops with industry leaders and scholars, ensuring our students benefit from a wealth of resources and ideas.
Goals and Objectives
By the time you graduate from the eMOT program, our aim is for you to:
- Possess the tools to analyze strategic and global management issues;
- Be able to apply your knowledge of technology and management in diverse settings;
- Understand how to formulate new business models around technology-enabled innovation; and
- Develop the skills and confidence to assume leadership positions in established firms, as well as new ventures.

The eMOT program is selective. To be a candidate for the program, you must have an undergraduate degree from an institution of higher learning, either in the United States or abroad.
